cheers mate, i am going to change every fuse and re fit the battery and see what happens. if it pops fuses again then its into the local shop to sort/remove the alarm.

had another look, 15a fuse from alarm box blown, so changed it and the alarm box started to get hot and popped the fuse again. looks like it will have to go into my local garage as im crap with electrics

checked the main 30a fuse and thats ok. i am beginning to think the alarm is causing the problem but cannot understand why the key fob wont do anything

last night the wife said, have you left a light on your bike. looked out the window and could see what looked to be the front/rear indicator on under the cover (not flashing but on) got up this morning to look and the lights had gone off but the battery was now flat. so i popped my spare battery on ...

well, that was a short visit to the site by me :roll: ended up in hospital last year for a major op (this old age thing is no good) anyway, had the nod from the surgeon that i can get back on the bike as long as i take it easy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! going for its MOT tomorrow so should be back on the storm...

glad to hear your sorted, and that the biker code lives on with VTR owners im new to this forum and Firestorm ownership but after a week on here and owning a VTR i feel right at home again on two wheels
