Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Today, I've fitted the R6 rectifier to my new vtr, and marvelled in someone else's ability to pre-round exhaust clamps off for me. They were very kind in doing this, I wonder what else they've done for me? I poked the back end out (ooer missus) of the garage and it starts and runs ok, but I'm bugger...

Re: Miss Your Storm - Would you? Do You? Why?
I sold my '98 Vtr last year, after only owning it for 6/7 months, various reasons didn't have a bike for a few months, then bought an RS Sprint off fleabay for £500 - manky, while it had character, being a triple, it wasn't the same, sold it in Oct and bought another Vtr last week. I've been brough...

It's special trumphonda paint, it's in all good stockists, next to the sky hooks and tartan paint section!
Sorry, I forgot to answer, yes it was the bike advertised in Devon, I'd looked at some right pieces of sh1t, so was pleasantly surprised with this one - work the drive.

Thanks for the welcome guys. sniff!! Rectifier I've just ordered, cct not yet, but before I ride it anywhere! Bigspanish, our house is in the south west, near-ish to Cahors / Figeac, so a couple of hours from the mountains. Lived there from '06 - 2010, biking roads and attitudes to it were v.good, s...

Re: Camchain Tensioners
Thanks for the link, if a piece of rod is inserted to 'bridge' the gap as illustrated, I'm presuming that the tensioner still tensions automatically, but now has the benefit of not 'backing out' at the wrong time?

No, it's just a crap camera-phone!
Is there a link to swapping them over? I don't like doing engine stuff, but have no faith in shops doing it, after knackering up a zx9 for me a long time ago!
You reckon it's still better to do them then?

Re: Hello, back with another VTR!
14,000 miles - I was suspicious, but all paperwork backs it up - so far.....! Just need to take off the hrc stickers and the 'orrible tank side 'things', more colour less crappy fake carbon. Last bike was this - http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/ae179/adzm124/Adz050511.jpg Which I sprayed into this...
