Cheers for the comments, I am going to have a look at ground clearance for the exhaust tonight, and as for the stand I am using an Abba stand, I think they are much better than paddock stands, a lot more stable and nice and easy to lift the both wheels off the gorund

Tony you can definately get that pearl white now! I have gone a slightly different route, decided to streetfighter the bike as i love naked bikes too much! Just bought Renthal straight bars and top yoke clamps, Ducati Termi carbon exhausts, ducati rear end and seat cowl. Have fitted the single swing...

I really like brians bike, I have my eye on the Mario fairings, but not till i have finished the rest! I have been speaking to Brian about SSS conversion and he has been a great help, just hope my bike looks as good when finished!

I have had a busy week ordering all the parts for my bike and playing around a bit on Photoshop, this is what i hope it will look like, not sure what colour/s to go for, thinking Duke 888 Pearl white, Black and red or black and gold, what are your opinions? http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr303/b...

Apart from the wheels needing a repaint, well the back one mainly the rest of your bike looked in good condition before you started to strip it down :thumbup: Do keep us up to date with the mods you intend to carry out, Chris. Exhaust Fab Question

Hello I am going to fabricate my own exhausts, i was just wondering if you could keep both exhaust systems completely seperate instead of linking the pipes together? Each cylinder will have its own system and silencer then!

You don't have to TIG stainless you can mig and arc weld stainless which is easier but if you do want to weld ali too, tig would be really good to learn, its hard work though!!

I'm from BSE!! Definately full of Mad cows though! Seems like a few people from Norwich, i go there quite a bit so would be good to have a few more rides out that way. Many people go to Seastars much (I know its not honda!)?

I must admit that your bike was one of the first things I saw on this site, it looks sweet the R1 end really suits it. Cheers Sirch, that was quite useful to see what it looked like, don't think I will have mine sticking so far up at the back, still want a pillion evry now and again! That bike looks very nice, wish I had the time and money for something like that!

Hello, Just bought my VTR at the weekend, love the sound of the big V. Its now stripped down in the garage awaiting its new parts and a big clean, paint job etc ready for next spring.
Hope to see a few people when the weather is a bit nicer!
