Is it illegal though? When I bought mine it had the smaller plate on it - so I googled it and the law for surrounds only came in for bikes after 2000 - I think. Prior to 2000 you can have this smaller size 8x6 inches, post 2000 9x7 inches - please correct me if i'm wrong.............. But you def ca...

you need to get a second bike like mine so then you can go out and have some green lane fun in the snow!!!

Thanks - still debating doing this yet as I only have 10k miles on the bike currently. But I've just read the other post re Dave Silver spares selling off old stock pink dot tensioners, with new ones being orange dot. I've bought pink dot from DS - so thinking gonna need to change the tensioners aga...

Does anyone know if there is an idiots guide, similar to Sirch's CCT guide on here for valve clearances?
I read somewhere it's worth checking them whilst doing CCT's? Can anyone expand?

I've got new manual CCT's but still not been brave enough to have a crack at it. I've printed Sirch's v good instructions. I'd like to add, I don't usually read MCN it's just I was a muppet with a saw the other day and now have a couple of stiches in my left hand.
