Re: Drive chain tension.............
I am the king of searches, do i get some kind of prize or something lol! I'm not inexperienced in things forum related because i'm a mod on http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk and i know how frustrating it is to see the same old questions being asked. Back to the subject anyway: I had thought about putting a...

Re:
If i had that much freeplay on my chain it would be rubbing on the link pipe. I think i'm going to have to put a clamp on the link pipe to stop it wearing through.Fireman on a Storm wrote:From the storm hand book.

Re: ART Titanium HL cans fitted, the results.
Aparently they are the ones ART supplied for the Firestorm, the only problem i have with them is they are not very secure. They only hold on the friction of one bolt.gilson wrote:Nice, I like the hangers, well they are not really hangers are they... ...

ART Titanium HL cans fitted, the results.
What do you think? Now the other cans are sold i can reveal that the full kit including the link pipes, brackets, clamps, hangers and DB killers cost the tiny sum of £90 including carriage, bargain me thinks! Now all i have to do is sort out the minor damage. I have ordered a new strap from A16 wit...

Re: Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
Put it like this, if i pust the pipe on it probably has a gap of just over 1mm all the way round and there is no way it would clamp up Rather than using goop (exhaust paste??) why don't you make a gasket around it and then clamp it. You can either buy some exhaust bandage from a car shop and make y...

Re: Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
I thought that might be the solution, i will probably goop it up tonight to make it gas tight at least. I just hope it all comes apart easy enough if i need to take them off again.sirch345 wrote: I also used some heat resistant exhaust sealer on those joints too.

Re: Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
Pictures please! Having not seen the gap you speak of, I'd just put a bigger clamp on it... http://www.stagonset.co.uk/fasteners?cart_id=8314641_30190&prm_grp=HoseClip_Mikalor_Supra_W4&summit=Mikalor|Supra|W4|Hose|Clamps Put it like this, if i pust the pipe on it probably has a gap of just ...

Re: Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
Well a quick update for you: They arrived yesterday by courier at 6pm after i waited in all day for them but they arrived well packed and ready to go. As i was all excited i went outside and fitted them with nothing more than a head torch for light but with one minor problem; the left hand link pipe...

Re: Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
I can trace my hi level brackets and draw them up in a week or 2 if it helps..... Not to worry now mate, the guy managed to find all the fittings i need to install them on the bike, the brackets mount on the lower mounting on the pillion pegs where the low levels fix, i have never seen another stor...

Re: Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
I did ask the seller about swapping the cans but apparently there is a weld on the other side of the can so it cant be done. I must admit i will probably reverse the strap and just fit them as is. If i wanted to rub out the damage and polish them up can it be done and has anyone managed to do it?

Got some new cans (at last) but i have questions.
I have just purchased some nice noisy cheap cans and high level link pipes for the Storm the problem is they have some minor damage as they were removed from a bike that was written off. They are Art Titanium with high level link pipes and my question is cans the marks be rubbed out through the grad...
