Polished my whole system when I had it off to ease access for swing arm/shock linkages grease up. Rubbed down with fine emery paper then used Brasso and a dolly wheel in the lecky drill. Came up a treat. Bugger me if they didnt glow cherry red when I fired her up and for the first few short runs tho...

I stuck a pair of Dunlop Roadsmarts on in April, have done 2kish miles and they still look brand new. Chiken strips are long gone!.
Front has a nice rounded profile so turns in pretty good. Also had no issues in the wet (had plenty practise this summer).

Without removing cam cover at all:- The following imo is the quickest and safest way I've found to replace the CCT's (1) Remove seat (2) Disconnect block connector on end of wiring from fuel tank (located under-seat in front of battery box) (3) Unbolt fuel tank, turn fuel tap off with 8mm open end ...
