Re: Your First Bike?
My CR 500 is used for single track riding. I have alot of hours riding on 500,s. I've learned the hard way not to get to cocky on these machines. I'ts still nice to get out in the open stuff and point the front wheel to the sky when in fifth gear.

Your First Bike?
Just curious to know what was everyones first bike. Mine was a 1974 Honda sl 70. Followed by many more dirtbikes growing up. My current offroad weapon is a CR 500 motor placed in a 2004 CRF 450 frame. I take extra tighty whities with me everytime i go for a ride on this thing.

Re: Heating Issues!
I'm in Canada and bought the bike from a buddy two weeks ago. I put 600 miles on the bike in three days with no isssues to speak of. Temp stayed aroung 175 f when cruising at speeds of 100 -110 kph. Right now my bike heats up WAY to fast when doing anything under 90 or 100kph. Going through speed zo...

Re: Heating Issues!
The fan will come on if i keep the bike at a lower speed of say 50 or 60 kph! The fan comes on at 220 F, i have to keep my speeds up in order for the bike to stay at a lower temp. It heats up way to fast when the speeds stay at anything lower than 90 kph. If i was to keep my speed at 50 or 60 kph th...

Heating Issues!
I have a 02 storm that is overheating at lower speeds. If i stay at a lower speed the fan is in risk of coming on. I've taken the thermostat out and still no luck. I've had it to the shop and been told that the head gasket is fine. I've also taken the water pump cover off and turned the bike over. E...
