I would also check the runout on the wheel.Check it with a good dial gauge and make sure its within tolerance.I think runout should be no more than 5 thou. While your at it check the tyre for runout as well.I have seen a mis-shaped tyre before on a mates Triumph,then work your way up the bike and ch...

Its actually just to deaden sound from the clutch.You can remove it if you want with no problems.

I have 6 spoke wheels on my Superhawk.The rear is off a 96 900rr (Fireblade) and the front is from an F3 (600rr). Both are direct bolt ons,use the same disc/bearings etc... If I can ever get pictures to post (read the instructions and can't make it work) I will post some of my bike or you can check ...
