Long time no see guys! Stu over in Japan. A buddy just picked up a stolen recovered 1997 VTR really cheap, I have most of the spares to get him on the road, but one thing I don't have is a spare set of clocks. I bet this has been asked a lot, but can the old bike take a new set of clocks? There is a...

How does the powder coating hold up to tire changes? We change our own tires at the track, and I have to admit that sometimes the rim protectors things get misplaced  I know this is not good, but will the powder coating chip easily? Cheers! PS anyone with a Silver VTR that has wheel that are n...

Guys, I have a buddy here who wadded his VTR , he needs the paint code for his bike. Here is what he had to say... "I took one of my fairings to a Honda dealer to get the correct color code and they only had two yellows, Y124P which is for the Jap spec bike and Y163P which I found out yesterday...

The brakes are actually fairly good on the VTR. You need to make sure they are in good condition. Make sure the pads are not glazed, they need to be cleaned, take some mild abrasive to the rotors as well. If the former owner liked to use a coin operated power wash on the bike, the detergent in the p...

I use the BT010 and get goog mileage out of them, but I know a lot of guys will put a BT010 on the front and an BT020 on the rear to get max mileage. My commute is about 100 M to my shop, so I don't use the bike for that

I'm trying out the new 001, and they stick really well, at the track!

Super Bike Bars DONE!!

Well, I've been putting the bits and pieces together for sometime, and I have also been trying to get the time to do the mod, well I was able to do both this last couple fo days. Hey I'm getting old, 39 next month, and I like my RMX250R Motard so much, I wanted a more upright position on the VTR, so...

Man that is great Michael! Too bad Mr. Honda could not have done that at the start, they would have sold a lot more bikes eh? I dropped my forks 5 mm, and I raised the rear 4 mm with a slip plate between the shock mount and the frame. Just an old big assed square washer that I cut a slot in one side...

Thanks Michael for reminding me, I was meaning to do that and forgot. The page is now updated. How do you like your new sey-up, BTW, gold vales out front and a Fox Twin clicker in the rear, you get a chance to flog it around some twists there in California? I'm saving up for a Penske unit myself!! C...

Yes like Iggy 1966 said, dangerous driving, if you "touch" the yellow line in a corner you can be done too, Ihad that one myself. I came up on an cage crashed on a road, middle of a corner, they were pulling the guy out of the car (flipped) and there was crap all over the road. I was not g...

Greeting Gents! I had a great ride the other day, out with a couple of buddies for some twisties, we got soaked coming home in the rain, but the roads in the AM made it worthwhile. Now that I have the suspension dialed in I'm now more concerned with how the engine runs, well it don't run too good. T...
