Finally.....just finished and really pleased with the result:P Tony, your pics were a life saver. Thanks. The only thing I'd do different now is to make the LHS brake pipe +3 rather than +2. I'd put up a photo but: haven't a clue how to do it; its same as Tony's anyway; its pissing down - and dark! ...

Its a (very) long time since I was involved with this sort of thing, but.... has anyone considered that it could be a surge related problem (i.e. the springs in the CCTs hit a natural frequency within their normal operating range). This may also explain why the Vtwin seems to have more of a problem ...

I agree on the puncture repair kit. I've managed to lever one of those foam can repair jobbies under the seat. I used one once on my Storm. Didn't seal it completely, but enough to ride 50 miles very gently. When we took off the tyre we found a 1 inch dia 1 1/2 inch long piece of wood inside the tyre!
