Re: HELLO BOYS - I'M BACK AS WELL

Also have a 1/2 share in my youngest's Triumph Daytona 675. Hopefully be able to get the SP roadworthy fairly quickly - but its jus...

Re: Yet again cct

Dave

If you are competent enough to take the tank, airbox and cam cover off, then fitting the manual CCTs is not difficult.
Don't be tempted to get the chain too tight. Remember it will tighten up once the engine gets hot and expands.

Re: Notice of Intended Prosecution :( f*ck!

Seb My son got done and challenged it on the basis that the radar gun wasn't calibrated properly. He asked for the type of gun, serial no. etc. Did lots of research. The police produced the "calibration" document. Apparently the type used only needs to be calibrated against a static target...

Re: Do it the Aviva way...

I had one. It was red!! Around 1978. It wasn't in as good a nick as this one looks. Had to replace the big ends after about 30k.

Re: LIST OF NAMES FOR OPERATION STORM 2010 ride out

Sorry guys. I've lost the plot on this thread. (some would say lost it altogether).

Are we still going to BSB at Cadwell on 28 August??

If so count me in and I'll probably bring at least one other.

Re: WHITE SP2 MARLBOROUGH ROAD CHISELDON

Jb Sounds like a MkI. I think these are brilliant little machines. Problem is that (like my Valiant) they cost more to restore than they can be sold for. Although prices are climbing slowly - usually several on e-bay. Very well engineered. No wonder Veloce Ltd. went under! I've only ridden the Valia...

Re: WHITE SP2 MARLBOROUGH ROAD CHISELDON

Hi JB

I have two: A 350 KSS MkII on the road and a 200cc Valiant, which is almost ready to run. I also have a long term project on the go to build a KTT MkVIII replica (although it will be more of a "look alike" than replica).

What have you got?

Re: Manual CCT Adjsutment advice please.

I made some manual tensioners for my Storm. I first set them up too tight. Whilst they seemed fine with the engine cold, once it got warm the cylinder/head expansion tightened up the chain so much that it hardly produced any power. I slackened the CCTs right off until I could hear it slap a bit and ...
