You may have done what I did at the weekend...
Have you got the vaccuum pipe on the drainage hole facing downwards? It needs to go on the thinner outlet, think it faces to the left if you are looking forwards.
Thanks to Chris for sorting this one out for me. Hope it solves your probs too..

Re: Carbs popping? Any ideas why?
They do all do it but making sure your carbs are balanced helps a lot. I just did mine at the weekend using a 15 quid balancing gauge from ebay and it has been reduced a lot and bike runs much more smoothly now too. Sounds like yours might well need doing..

Help Please!!!!!
Right so I have been trying to balance my carbs today using one of those ball gauge devices. However I seemed to have now created a bigger problem and I don't know how. Basically it will no longer rev instead it just conks out. I have done no synchronisation and all I have done is cut the fuel vacuu...

Skill required : Virtually none, too easy. Firstly measure from your shifter to the ground so that you can ens...

Re: What's the first mod?
And don't forget the two cheapest but essential mods to a stock bike - drill the silencers or take baffles out completely and 3 to 6mm spacer under the rear shock to sharpen handling, essential imho.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Ok then go on the Gixxer!
I rode my Storm down to Croatia. Luggage and bird as well. Was fantastic and always comfortable. Can't comment on the Gixxer tho as have never ridden one.
Either way you're bound to have a ball.

New Springs and cheers to Tony!
Yesterday evening went round to Tony's to fit new Hyperpro springs. What a gent?! Fitted the new springs for me in an hour or two and was most hospitable to boot. If you need any help then I would definitely say Tony's your man, boy knows his way around the Storm for sure. Just got back from the fir...
