Re: Skimming Discs

Thanks for putting the pics up. The bike has not turned a wheel for nearly 2 years and is an 03 plate with less than 20k on the clock. In that time it has bee sitting in a garden 200 yards from the sea as the corrosion shows. Since I sold my last SP I have looked and looked and there are plenty out ...

Re: Skimming Discs

I am afraid I am useless when it comes to posting pictures so I might have to ask someone else to put them up for me.

If somebody can pm me with an email address that I could send a couple to, and they in turn could post them on here for me I would be most grateful.

Re: Skimming Discs

Hi All, Well the project "firestormish" will be happening, as I made the chap an offer and he has agreed to it. I just need to arrange to get it picked up and get organised. I am looking forward to having a bike in the shed again, all be it one that is needing a bit of TLC. Cheers A.M.

Re: Skimming Discs

Thanks for replies, the discs are on a low mileage bike that has been neglected lying outside for ages there is plenty of meat on them . I suppose the easiest thing to do would be to clean them up and give the bike a run to let the pads try to make it good, the only thought I had was that the sectio...

Re: A9 Average Speed Camera System is now live - 28th Oct 20

A quick update on the A9 from someone who travels it most days of the week. North of Inverness where we used to see the run of the mill numbers of unmarked cars (not a lot and mainly when they said they were having a purge in certain areas) we are now seeing a big increase in their presence, so folk...

Skimming Discs

Hi All, Not been on in a while (just lurking about instead) as I have been bikeless for longer than I can stand. So I have been looking at a project "Firestormish", my question is can discs that have been fitted to a bike that have been sitting outside unprotected and unused for around 2 y...

Re: Scotland's answer to route 66

Hi All, Plenty of fuel stations to do it on the Storm and the SP. I have a picture of the SP at the top of the view point as seen in the first picture looking down towards Kinlochewe and Loch Maree. I will dig it out to whet your appetite. Cheers A.M.   Fingers crossed i ...

Re: Anyone know this bike ? (inverness)

Hi There, I am only about 30 miles north of Inverness and am down there quite regularly. I noticed it on gumtree last week and thought it looked very clean and tidy. If you are struggling to get someone to look at it just drop me a pm and If I can I will have a look for you. I have not seen it about...

Holiday Cottage in Highlands

Hi All, It has been a while since I have been on here (sold the SP back in Dec 12, big mistake  ) but I still lurk around in the background. Thought I would give our cottage a mention, it can be found at http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p415971 We are in the highlands of Scotland and motorcyclists wou...

Re: SP1 Advice

Hi There Shauned71, If it has been down the left hand side check out the lh rad as some have been known to spring a leak at the mounting bracket without having been dropped. Check just about everything everybody else has mentioned as well. I would be keen to know what service history comes with it a...
