Re: SP2 Owners Website

Thanks for replying. I am more than happy to continue using this site if you're sure it will cover my model.
Just to try it out, are there any SP2 owners out there who can tell me if there are any common problems that I should look out for, or that I could prevent before they happen?

SP2 Owners Website

Hi, everyone. Yesterday I became the proud owner of a new (yes, new) SP2. I have so enjoyed owning my Firestorm (5 years, 50,000 miles), that I could think of nothing else I would rather own. Anyway, I have had so much good information and fun browsing this site, I was wondering if there was one for...

Thanks Kitch. I've had a look under tools and I haven't got "preferences" as an option. I've had a look around all the drop downs and am unable to find anything regarding links within e-mails. I'm running Vista. Sorry to be a pain in the butt, but any other ideas? I appreciate any help.

Links within e-mails

Can anybody help?
Any e-mails I receive containing links to the internet etc. The links do not work. All I get is a message saying "application not found". If I cut and paste, the link it works fine. Not the end of the world I know, but it is annoying.
Thank you.

Slow to return to tick-over.

Hello Folks.
I wonder if anyone experiences the same thing as me? I own a bog standard '03 'storm. On closing the throttle, or on "blipping" the throttle, the engine hesitates around the 2000rpm point before falling to 1400rpm. Not a major problem. Just wondered.

Thanks Graeme. It's not making any horrendous "contact" noises and there's no sign of wear, so it must be ok!

Cluth gaskets

Just fitted new chain and sprockets which meant taking clutch off. I've got a 2002 model. Number 3 and 4 were non-existant. Just metal to metal. Should I be concerned? :?

Have these problems only occured on bikes without fairing lowers? I'm guesing that the lowers may offer a little protection from the elements.
Great site. Very useful.
