Re: TT13?
Seriously thinking about doing it next year... ...have never been before, so any advice gratefully received! I realise the ferry has to be booked asap, other two main questions are: 1) whens best time to go? 2) how cheap is accommodation (bearing in mind that I can't be arsed with camping!) cheers J...

Re: SP1 COMFORT FACTOR/RIDING POSITION?
I have gone from Storm to SP1 this year.... and can echo pretty much what turbo billy says (though I'm 6' 1") You adapt pretty quickly, and it's definitely NOT uncomfortable out on the open road and on long rides.... though around town and in heavy traffic it can be a little difficult :o -!!! J...

Re: Fitted Braided Hoses - Bleed problem
Started the whole thing again using the 'traditional' method, and no problems at all! Lever is as firm as you like and brakes are now awesome! It seems that the vacuum bleeder was creating problems that weren't actually there (i.e. sucking air in around the tube and nipple like gilson suggested)! It...

Fitted Braided Hoses - Bleed problem
Hello As the title suggests, I have just fitted a braided goodridge race front brake setup on the SP1.... which all went swimmingly to begin with until I started bleeding the new brake fluid through! Using a vacuum bleeder, I bleed the left caliper first, which worked out fine. Onto the right calipe...

Re: Storm on the Track
30 / 30 is a good starting point for road/sports rubber on track I find.... but check it with the tyre guy like gilson says.

Re: Storm on the Track
Used to do loads of trackdays on my (now departed) Storm, and regularly embarrass modern sportsbikes :-) It's a great bike on track - to get the best out of it, it's advisable to upgrade the front forks & rear shock though !!! Also I can recommend the shock spacer mod (more weight on front for b...

Re: An idiots guide to the Firestorm
I had zero mechanical experience when I went to do the cct's on my storm 5 years ago, but with the help of the excellent workshop guide on this forum and also all the friendly folk on it, I found it fairly simple and also hugely rewarding at the same time. It then gave me the confidence to tackle al...

In my experience 20 miles is the most you can bank on after the red light of doom comes on !!

Re: My new ride (SP1)
Yep it's the euro import version, hence the colour scheme. Got it for a great price, from an honest seller (got all the right vibes from him if you know what I mean): 18,000 miles, FSH, first registered 2003, bike is near mint - it's certainly been looked after very well during it's lifetime. Am ver...
