Re: What do you currently ride???
Still got this Tiger as my main bike: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chrisheapy/blue_tiger.jpg and recently got this Scrambler for generally messing about on and annoying the neighbours with the noise :D (actually, that one isn't mine but it's the same in all respects) http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chr...

Re: Vtr Starting problems
Check you don't have a high resistance connection with the starter motor (might feel hot when attempting to start). I'd take it off and clean it up anyway. Check your frame ground too (your battery tender will connect direct to battery terminals and won't notice any difference, but normal loads from...

Re: New Battery
YTZ14S is physically smaller than stock YTX12 (few mm in height) so will fit the standard tray but may need a bit of padding. They do offer more cranking amps which is noticeable on cold mornings.

Re: nitron shock
Hi Chris, got mine from HPS http://www.bikehps.com/nitron/ because there was an offer on the remote pre-load at the time. Might not have bothered with the extra remote as it's normally an extra £147. Can't really test it with this cold weather - need warm tyres! Still miss my Storm :( Wish I knew w...

Re: The new hobby
I heard Malamutes like nothing better than to dig holes in your garden! We have a much smaller mutt - a Cairn Terrier, and she's quite a character. Listens to everything you say then ignores it completely. She likes the snow tho.

Re: nitron shock
Nitron make good quality kit. Recently changed the rear on my Tiger for their Race shock with remote pre-load as the original (Showa) is badly under-sprung and compression/rebound don't work well either. Have to do the forks now as it shows them up, a set of Hyperpro or Wilbers springs and a re-valv...

Re: First time ive saw one.
I don't have a problem with catching tax dodgers, I do have a problem with the plod at the bottom of the Cat n Fiddle run (where the 30mph zone starts) who targetted me when I was following a queue of 3/4 cars. He didn't bother with the cars at all, just pointed at me all the time. Discrimination I ...

Re: A 'special' 700cc V twin (not Honda!)
Timbo. This is my 2003 Royal Enfield. Love the fact it looks like 1953 though; a large part of the reason for buying it and modifying it with the single saddle, number plate etc etc!!!! I thought those pedestrian slicer number plates were illegal? To look the part I suppose you wear an ex-WW2 army ...

Re: Warning shiny IL4 pictures ;-)
Yea Tim it's got ABS, just as well as the front brakes are very keen and I would have locked it up several times by now. Rear brake is carp though. I think the Remus cans look very good too and are cheaper, if the Arrow hadn't been offered as part of the deal I would not have bought it at £400 (!) ...

Re: Warning shiny IL4 pictures ;-)
Seeing as how this is a not-a-VTR thread, here's my IL3 Tiger after replacing the dustbin with the Arrow can, sounds better now. Also got Pazzos on. Fitted a DV cam to the RH crash protector so I could play at makin movies, my first attempt at posting to YouTube is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: 62 miles from full till the light came on!
Used to get 85 at worst, normally ~100 until red light. Sure you don't have a hole in the tank?
