But isnt the email quoting 118BHP at the rear wheel? That would mean a decent improvement over OE. Not sure about the logic though when a mille or SP could be a bargain winter buy. I'm sure Roger meant "rear wheel", and I thought about that too, but an SP1, makes 110bhp and a RSV probably...

Interesting, never heard of it though. When I fit them, (not for a while though, no free weekends with all this rugby!), I will probably dyno it as I think it will mess up the fuelling slightly. Anyway, would be money well spent to get it running perfectly for the new season. Can't have my mates R6 ...

They are worth the amount of money someone is prepared to pay. In this case 121GBP (tubes only). I'm happy with that...

I bought them... lovely for my track bike:D

I got the power output wrong... my email above now doesn't make sense... 1500GBP for a 18bhp increase, now doesn't seem like a worthwhile opportunity... mind you, a full exhaust and K&N seems OK value....

Like all tuning, expensive per BHP.

Aha! The email from Roger... Dear Martin, Thank you for your enquiry. If your bike has a standard exhaust or severely baffled end cans (eg Quill T3) attached to standard header pipes there is only a SMALL genuine BHP power gain despite the maker's claims both of Dynojet kits and the exhaust. However...

I emailed Rodger, nice chap. Said, pretty much, although I can't remember all the details: Blueprint engine (basically means smoothing out all the internals), Moriwaki cams and a dyno run (or two). Must have a full race exhaust system, will push out near 150BHP and cost 1500GBP. I don't have the cas...

Want to change gear with flip-flops?

On a recent trip to Italy I saw a Speed Triple with this modification:

Crazy Italians!

I got caught out recently when I took the tank off and put a vaccum tube on the wrong inlet. It's well documented but a bugger to realise. However, this does affect idle and most of the rev range, although a mate of mine did several track sessions running like this. The best way to explain it is loo...

Superb effort. I'd be well interested in a right hand (as you sit on the bike) engine casing. Don't care what it looks like as long as it protects!

Good job sir..... let us know when you are taking orders! ;-)

Question: How thick is the RHS engine casing?

Maybe a daft question, but I slid my track bike (Firestorm - obviously) down the track and ground down the RHS (as you sit on the bike) engine cover, where you put the oil in. How thick is this metal? If I slide again, is it likely to go through? I guess I can replace it with a second hand one (if I...
