Re: Reccomend me

The best front ones IMO are the ones that pick up under the bottom yoke (locating in the steering stem), the type that picks up under the fork legs (where the fork leg sits on two metal bars) are not very safe, as the fork legs can very easily jump out, as you're putting the bike up on the stand. H...

Re: Reccomend me

regarding the paddock stand. I've got a pair of cheapo unbranded, red ones that you see on ebay. The ones with springs that push the hooks or platform out. They are shite. OK, they are ok for light use I suppose.... I treated myself to a rear Harris stand, which is very good but is 70GBP brand new (o...

Re: front caliper upgrades

I had my first track day at Brands using the new brakes (SP1 MC and calipers with brembo racing pads). It is far better than I just had the SP1 MC and standard calipers. One thing I've noticed is that the brake lever, if you squeeze it hard comes to the bar. I was surprised and expected there to be ...

When will a TDO cancel a track day?

Hi All, I've got my first Track Day booked at Brands Indy on 14th Feb (love is in the air!) ;-). I'm expecting it to be cold and hopefully not raining/snowing, but what are the conditions when the TDO will call it off and refund? I expect the decision is with the track owners but what do you think i...

I am running 98 Fireblade calipers with steel lines, HRC "hard bite" pads and the radial MC from a 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R. Ine one word: INCREDIBLE!!!! I have ridden numerous late model sportbikes and the only bike that outbrakes it is a Ducati 1098. I am extremely happy with this set-up (ha...

I was going down this route for my VTR track bike. I got a SP1 MC, which made the lever feel wooden, with little movement. Brakes were better though... now I've matched the MC to the SP1 calipers - I think it's important to match the ratios beween the MC and calipers. I've recently got some new pads...

My mates got a white firestorm because it's a track bike and has white track fairings and a white tank - looks really good actually.

White seems to be the new black, it's fashionable to have a white 3 series or Golf GTI. Used to be the cheapest car colour.....

It takes more amps to turn two pint sized cylinders rather than 4 little 'uns. but that seems not to be the issue.

I start mine full choke from the off, very little throttle, if any.

You haven't been doing any work on it? Tank off at all?

Good luck sir, let us know what you find out.
