Warby221, thanks for that, had no idea what this plug was and never heard of anyone having this problem before, the microfishe thingy shows the plug but no description of what it is, do you happen to know if there is a seal in there or should I just tighten it a bit, what do you think? Thanks once a...

Oil leak - help!

I have an oil leak somwhere at the front of the engine, thought it was the oil seal at the starter motor, changed that - still got the leak, new oil filter, still got the leak, it looks like there is oil above the stater motor, I noticed that there is a large plug in the engine, just behind the star...

Engine siezed

Hi Sketty, how did you get on? This sounds a bit like what I have now got, mine is leaking behind the starter motor,i did think it was the oil filter but, i've seen it drip above here when the engine was hot, I think the oil seal on the starter motor is going or gone, this sprays oil behind the star...

Wavey brakes 2

Had them on a while now, they are as good as any, look great and don't rust at the first sign of moisture - unlike my previous EBCs, we shall see how they are in the wet, should get some rain soon!!!! Braking seems a lot stronger but, my EBCs were warped so they might have been as good as these when...

Wavey Brake discs 2

Got them this morning, 6 days from HK! pretty good, well they look sturdy enough, very light but then there is so much cut away, don't know how much lighter than stock items. Will be fitting them soon and test them, let you know how they are, to the untrained eye, they don't look cheap, have to see ...

Wavey Brake discs 2

Don't know why my first post is blank but, all it said wast hat I have bought a PAIR of wavey discs off of E-Bay for £109 which seems very cheap as I've seen normal discs going for this amount for just one! Hope this helps someone who can't afford expensive original discs. The seller on e-bay is Vi...

Wavey Brake discs

I've seen some shocking prices for new discs, I have ordered a pair of wavey discs from E-Bay which come from China,I already have a rear wavey disc from the same place and it's working fine so, I think the quality of the fronts should be bang on too. More important, is that the two fronts cost £10...

Just done this, removed both hooks, seat now goes on easy and comes off a whole lot easier too, hooks are useless and can only imagine they are there for the helmet stap/lock thing you get in the tool kit,had some debate about what the long bit of looped wire with the black plastic sleeve was in my to...

Tool kit

RedStormV, thanks for your help. evry useful will try to make my own, failing that I have noticed on e-bay that someone is selling various Honda tool kits, one that looked promising was a VFR800 kit that seemed to have a plug spanner very much looks like a VTR one, once again, thanks.
