Good result, perseverance pays off.

With the upper cylinder cleaner, as some of it is likely to have leaked past the rings, do you now need to do an oil change?

Re: Talk to me about caution! And wisdom!

Just bear in mind that the best intentions are often waylaid by a bunch of riding fools having fun in Wales, Devon, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Yorkshire!
Get yourself along to one of these runs and regain your youth...

Another great day, brilliant roads- ( cheers, Alastair) and a good group of eight in the "progressive" group.
Left. Right. Left. Right. Straight- repeat.

Only one little car park drop- short leg on the downhill side.

Re: Op Storm Wales 2024 13th,14th, 15th September.

Well, day one (Friday 13th Part 1 and Part 2) went pretty well, six of us kept together and it stayed dry. Some great roads, Alastair built a great route and we had a stop or two: https://i.postimg.cc/rD5Qcwxg/PXL-20240913-132405221.jpg We even got a bit of culcher at Harlech Castle- or, more accura...

One of my lottery win purchases, if the numbers cooperate ( and I buy a ticket).
You might need to strap the back wheel down at the footpegs as you'll get tyre slip distorting your results otherwise.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Added a fan override switch. Took me two days! Nightmare job; the instructions were wrong. https://i.postimg.cc/PN41xG86/PXL-20240910-160906848.jpg Also wiped the wheels with Gunk so it will look like I might have cleaned it for Wales. Put the Welsh road sign-based rack on, and sorted out some tools...

Re: Op Storm Wales 2024 13th,14th, 15th September.

So the bike's all ready to go. In order to make life more interesting, I'll strip it all apart tomorrow to fit a manual fan switch to try to get a head start on it overheating in slow (sub 35mph) traffic. I'll then be able to start the fan a bit earlier than it would automatically come on. Same stri...

Re: shock spacer

When I ran USD blade forks I had the 6mm spacer fitted, it only tankslapped twice in many thousands of miles, and both times I had provoked it, leant over with the throttle wide open running over catseyes.

Even then it stopped pretty quickly and re stabilised.

Enough to keep you awake, though.

Re: shock spacer

Nearly. A 6mm spacer made mine 19mm higher.
Measured vertically at the rear wheel spindle centre point.
