Re: BSB R1 NAVARRA

I nearly got a pass to go to this one. Nicole thought it was the traditional season opener at Brands, but as soon as she saw me booking a ferry, it was unapproved very quickly.
The tellybox will have to do.

Re: 1997 VTR not sparklng

They fire independently. The ignition trigger wheel inside the clutch housing picks up signals for both coils and sends them to the ignition module. The module then sends the correct LT signal to each coil. Each coil converts to a HT output and sends it to the coil. So if you have a spark on one onl...

Is the obligatory Rental foam tube cover going on it? Otherwise, you might find out where the phrase "brace and bit" comes from...

Re: VTR facebook page bans any non VTR posts!

Posts about breakfasts are allowed; they just won't allow pictures of any other make or model of bike. It's getting a bit puritan on that site. The power has gone to the Mod's heads, but then, we're coming up to Mayday, and traditionally, the Mods always kick off this time of year. Obviously, there ...

Re: From 107 to 128

Glad you got it sorted. Lithiums need an unusual technique when the temperature is cold. It's as though you have to warm them up first. I find that standing for a few minutes with just the headlight on helps. Then try to start with a short press ( don't try to hold it) and see if it wants to turn ov...

Re: Oliver's Mount spring cup meeting April 13/14

Best-laid plans and all. Nicole had one of her vertigo episodes and so this morning, after a cold night in the van, we decided to head home instead of watching today's racing. But I'm currently in Squires getting food; it was near enough on the way home and we need a replacement sticker for the van....

There's a bit of Honda monkey bike with a stretch swingarm from some angles...
It should feel lively with that weight and power.

Re: Oliver's Mount spring cup meeting April 13/14

Got the van parked up, just about room for two camp beds in the back, so we should be warm enough at night. Not looking great weather-wise but in the interests of stabilising internal and external liquid levels I'm in the marquee and on the beer. Bands are on, so all good. https://i.postimg.cc/9zftH...

Re: The RD400 drag bike

In our defence we were running into a 20mph headwind which must have knocked a bit off the top speed  I would be more than happy with the times you and Tony achieved. I think you both did really well 8) 8) I wonder if Tony has seen my data I found in my previous post yet :?: :eh: :shh:  C...

I've paid for the Thursday night.

Anyone else fancy a rideout on the Friday, and perhaps meet up with an incoming group?

Re: The RD400 drag bike

I spent the first few runs trying to optimise traction control. I had to turn it off to burnout, but then turn it back on again before staging. That shouldn't have been a difficult task but the bike didn't like it at all, and in one occasion I had to kill the engine and reset everything by turning t...

I'd be up for arriving on the Thursday and leaving Monday.
How much extra per night would it be?
