Sorry chaps, bought mine in March 1997, from Bill Head in Preston traded in a Blade. (so its 14 years in 2 weeks)Will probably never sell it as I have spent so much on it and could never recoup the money, also I love it dearly and its the only new bike I have ever owned.Only done 8k miles. some year...

Re: 1st Ride out

Enzo, I have all the instructions for front and rear suspension set up by Maxton. Mine was for a 12.5 stone rider on fast smooth roads ie IOM set up as they describe it. All the settings are there Iam sure you could easily alter them for a few extra lbs but at least you will have a starting point. I...

Re: Hanger straps.

When I removed my rear pegs I had some very good stainless hangars fitted which would suit any low level pipes, I had Microns. Now gone high level so not needed any more. Can e mail some pics (dont know how to post pics on here) if your interested. They are good quality and well made.

A Pain In The butt

Has anyone had their seat recovered or had a custom one made, preferably by a supplier in the North West area.
I was thinking of looking into a new seat with a bit more comfort.
As I get older it seems the ability to ignore butt ache is diminishing alot sooner.

Any ideas anyone . Cheers Phil

No Spark

Hi Folks I'm looking for some advice re a problem on a quad bike not my Storm. I think I have narrowed the cause of it not sparking down to either the coil or the cdi unit with the cdi being fav, but as they want over £250(ouch) for a replacement I need to be sure. There may be a clue to the fault ...

Re: Are you sure your bike is insured?

LSM, checked my policy with CN and this is what they said. "if you are insured with Red Star and you have your bike on sorn but no mot they will reduce the cover by 10% in event of a claim. if however you are insured with Group Ama and your bike is on sorn with no mot you are not covered."...

Re: Are you sure your bike is insured?

Now got insurance sorted with Carole Nash. £300 for 5 bikes To have bikes covered when laid up they must be registered 1982 or before . If you want to bring them out for the summer its just a phone call to add to cover. All other bikes must be taxed and MOT'd to be covered. So if you have a few bik...

Re: Are you sure your bike is insured?

Will be interested to hear your response LSM . I assume this is not exclusive to Bennetts and other insurance companies are similar? When I queried this with Bennetts they said,I was asked if all the bikes on the policy where taxed and mot'd when I took it out. This is not true and in my ignorance e...

Are you sure your bike is insured?

Hello everyone, just had a bit of a shock from my insurance company,(Bennetts). Rang them to add another bike ,which is not taxed or mot'd yet but on SORN, to my multi bike policy and found out that they do not cover bikes on SORN. Does everyone know this OR is it just me having a senior moment. My ...
