Re: Track Day Ground Clearance

The scraping was purely down to lean angle, it didn't matter if I had to brake heavily or when I just rolled off the throttle or neither, it still scraped. To be honest I don't want to stop leaning over less, I want to lean over as much as possible. These pics were taken from the 1st two sessions wh...

Re: Tyre recommendations

I had the Maxxis Supersport fitted a couple of months ago and cannot fault them. just used them on a track day too. (See Track Day Ground Clearance Post, you can clearly see the tyres in one of the pics). Had BT020's on before that and they were great but I'll be getting Maxxis again and so will a f...

Track Day Ground Clearance

Did my first track day at Oulton Park a couple of days after BSB meeting. Fantastic day but a couple of issues. Scraping the pegs and the side of the fairing all day so took the extension bits off the pegs and moved up a notch to 3rd one on the rear shocker. Still scraped the pegs after this but not...

Catalunya GP

Anyone else going to the Catalunya GP. We're trying a new way this year, getting our bikes shipped down to Barcelona and hopping on a flight from LBA and meeting them there. Means we have an extra 3 or 4 days travelling around Spain instead of the Dover crossing or the Bilbao ferry (did the Bilbao f...

I'm pretty sure thats the route we take to Stamford Bridge, then 166 to coast. I've usually got my eyes fixed on the brake lights of the bike in front of me to notice the villages we're passing. One of the roads we sometimes take has a beware of Frogs sign on it, wasn't aware that many of our Europe...

Popped into Squires early (9:30 ish) on way to coast, it was already packed as was Fridaythorpe. Filled tank to brim in Leeds and did 90 miles to coast (riding hard and fast, have to keep up with 2 R1's, a Fireblade and Gxsr). My bike is ridden close to its limit and yet my petrol light never came o...

Were you there last night Bob, I let a black one through parked near the entrance as I was coming in. There was a red one with an orange front wheel at Fridaythorpe and unfortunately saw a few yellow ones as well, but that didn't stop it being the best ride out of the year so far

Gone the spacer (sockets) route. I'll just put them on when she fancies a ride (on the bike) as it's only a 5 minute job changing them.

Black Volvo Estate M62 West Yorkshire

Saw the blue lights start to flash in the distance ahead as he pulled over a Beamer. That Beamer saved me a ban for sure and kept my licence clean.

I nearly bought the Hel lines 'til I found these, but I'm sure they both work equally well. Not much difference in price + a couple of Goodridge stickers for your bike http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Goodridge-Stainless-Steel-Brake-Lines-Honda-Firestorm_W0QQitemZ130062838680QQihZ003QQcategoryZ25632QQtcZphotoQ...
