MOT tomorrow.

Been a long time since I've posted here..... Threw my bike down the road around this time last year, embarrassed and gutted so just chucked it in the garage and forgot about it. Anyhow I recently felt the urge, so got some bits off eBay ( it wasn't that bad and I can live with a few scratches and di...

New CCT's

I want to replace the CCT's on my 02 as a precaution - just approaching 15K miles. Had the bike since new but now use it mainly for commuting so doing 4-5K/year. Have a mate at a local bike shop who can get me parts at cost and he checked and said that the chain guides have been through 3 revisions ...

Re: Breakdown & AA....

It's taken a while, but after an independant inspection the AA today sent a letter saying they will agree to the repairs and will send a cheque when I send a receipt for parts. Looks like I'm out of pocket for nearly £600 until they pay up! I'm just glad it was cosmetic damage and not anything that...

Re: best tyres for storm??

Got around 5K miles out of a pair of 021's and found them to be excellent in all conditions. On a whim this time I've decided to try the new Pirelli Angel ST - only done a couple of hundred miles so far but they seem fine, will be interesting how long they last....

Re: Breakdown & AA....

Thanks for the advice, will check the rectifier first. Two more pieces of advice if you don't mind - David Silver spares lists a genuine Honda chain and sprocket set for £113.85 inc VAT which seems pretty good, or is it worth paying a little extra for an 'X' ring one? I'm still on the original afte...

Breakdown & AA....

Decided to stop at the chippy last night on my way home from work. When I came out I switched on the ignition, it light up as normal then everything went dark as I tried to start it. A quick check of the obvious told me that there was no way I could get it going so I called the AA. They told me 80 m...

Blueflame let me down!

I bought a high level Blueflame system 2 years ago. Six months later I had a spill and damaged one of the link pipes, nothing serious, just deep scuffs. About a year later the can cracked where the pipe entered - I'm pretty sure this had nothing to do with the spill as I stripped it all down after t...

I used my car for work twice this week, first time for probably 6 months!

Don't mind wet, or cold, but not happy with icy roads. My AWD handles them better :-)

I gave up on PC gaming as it's too expensive - just stick to the 360 now. Bought 3, 1 died (a release model, 3 rings) my son has a later one and i have an elite, both been fine. Have to agree PC graphics are better, my sons PC is an AMD Athlon 6000 64 x2 with dual Nvidia 8800 GTS in SLi. Unfortunate...
