Always loved the SP2, just not practical for my usage.
Enjoy it mate, that's one sexy beast!

Re: Firestorm Owners Lotto Syndicate
I did the lottery once, first week, didn't win so gave up lol
I'd come in though, pound a weeks nothing and you never know. A share of millions would be great, I need some new socks.....

New bike finally here!
Ordered 6 weeks ago, finally arrived Thursday. Have got to say I'm very impressed so far. Hope it's more reliable than the Firestorm, it's let me down twice in 10 years. (Battery both times  ) 'Storms still going to get plenty of use, though mainly for commuting. http://www.dangermen.net/griso/...

Re: Which mirrors ?
I cleaned mine, could see my elbows great after that
Doesn't bother me having to tuck my elbow in to take a look behind, no bother.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Removed LH switchgear, cleaned and packed with vaseline! Hopefully high beam switch will stop sticking now... Any other advice for that?
Went to work on it yesterday, 32 miles at 0 deg (5 am) wasn't comfortable, even with heated grips. Nice sunny ride home at 2pm made up for it though

Re: New Bike!
That's the one, with the Matt Green paint
Unfortunately I won't get it for a couple of weeks. Probably be the longest 2 weeks of my life
The new SE is out soon with a 'Black Devil' paint scheme and I don't like it as much so had to grab the old SE while I still could.

New Bike!
Bought the 'Storm pretty much exactly 10 years ago new. Always been reliable and still love it but had a hankering for something new. No idea what I wanted, just surfed the 'net and fell in love...... ....with a Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE. Quick test ride on a demo, loved it and bought one. Can't e...

Re: Test Rides/Insurance
Every bike I've bought (a grand total of 3) I bought without a test ride...
Been lucky though (owned my VTR from new for 10 years) and wouldn't buy another without riding it first.
Hoping to keep the VTR for many more years

Did around 80 easy and relaxed miles today. Bike felt like it was new. Definitely going to be used a lot this year for commuting.
*Edit.
Wrecked the Blueflame cans so back to standard. God it's quiet!
