I have 15/44 as well, it just about fits and shortens the wheelbase quite a bit by having to push the wheel all the way forward. It gives a genuine 148mph at the redline where most speedos are reading nearer 160 and acceleration is incredible. You will not be dissapointed.

The storms are massivly overgeared as standard. I have 15/44 gearing which gives a genuine 148 mph at the redline. Bearing in mind that most bikes are reading nearer 160 at this speed this is plenty for road use. The main difference is that it gets there as fast as you can change gear and uses the w...

I have to agree with Max that a turbo needs to run at far higher speeds than a supercharger and the bearings in a turbo are often the plain type and are not subject to any load at all. A turbo in effect just spins freely in it's bearings.

Just wondering if you went. I did for the first time and was very impressed by the friendly atmosphere and laid back attitude of everyone there. A very relaxing and chilled out weekend and i'll be going back next year.

Decibll killers

I have carbon can company race pipes on me storm fitted with decibel killers. Does anyone know if removing these baffles will give more power/torque and would i be wise to jet it up a bit to prevent it running lean. I have a standard airbox and filter.

Thanks in advance, Broad bean

Yes, standard chain works fine and it reduces the wheelbase by about 15mm. It goes straight upto 10,000 revs in 6th which is a genuine 153mph and cruises at a genuine 100mph at a little over 6,000rpm, bloody brilliant.

Don't know if this will help but, i always have two windows open, one with the confirm bid button ready to be pressed with an over the top bid already entered. The second window watches the time remaining which i keep refreshing. So you put a bid in for say £500 for the wheel and confirm it 5 second...

Just ridden it with the 15 / 44 gearing and i have done an accidental wee.
It accelerates like something mad and sounds like a four stroke motocrosser. Must get me a speedo healer as it tells even bigger fibs now.

Hello a lot

Big fat steve here, got my first firestorm a few weeks back and can't stop smiling. Have just ordered a 44 tooth rear sprocket to go with the 15 tooth front to save on a bit of front tyre wear.
