Coming to a meet might need a bit of planning because of where I live (Finland). But the main reason for wanting a new seat is that the original can get a little uncomfy on longer rides and the second thing is that I keep sliding a bit towards the front of the seat. I cleaned it and applied a thin layer of RTV. Hopefully a more frequent cleaning of the sprockets backside will help prevent any further damage.

I suspect that the previous owner never cleaned that part and all the added chainlube, sand and other things just broke the seal like you said

Oil seal broken behind front sprocket

Hi, wanted to pick your brain with this problem. No oil leaking but I would like to fix the seal somehow without changing it entirely.

Any thoughts?

Hi everyone, I just bought myself a 2006 VTR. It has 50k on the clocks and just getting my head around changing the chain and sprockets. Maybe a couple months of summer left so trying to get the basics in check.
