Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Passed the MOT, put the bike on E-Bay !, Starting price £1500 , A lot of bike for little Dosh and only 12000 miles. Son took it down, think he would have it if he had space , obviously loved the pull and drama of the thing .

Selling up.
Sadly the VTR is just too big and bold for me. Not getting any use. Going to put on E_bay tommorow. If someone wants to jump in before with an offer of £1900 I will hold fire. Its 1998 in orange with only 12K miles and all the Mots to prove. Fires up nicely and needs nothing. Carbon Hugger, smoked sc...

Drain off crappy e05 fuel
My Storm is not getting any use and I'm worried that the shi- tty stuff that imitates petrol these days will rot tank ,carbs and fuel lines. I intend to drain it off and put in some Esso ++ (no ethanol) with a little 2 stroke mix to protect and be able to start up when this lunacy is over. Is there ...

Re: Garage Door
Its a job on my list. The frame has rotted ,and I can do that. Getting the door out and back again will be fun. Would get a man in but they are not interested in playing with old doors .just want supply new ,but not do the rest which involves windows etc. and pukka carpentry.

Re: Scottoiler
No flashing ,was working fine, just the screen illumination should go off when the bike is parked , left for months it will flat the battery. Had to disconnect but that means a full reset every time I want to ride. Not practical. Back to EP90 and a brush!

Re: Hi All
Hi Chris, I will put the cash to something low and simple . or swop . looking at an Indian Enfield ,a bike that the boys can use too. I will call it Steve's bike ,so that we will think of him when we ride it. The VTR was his. An Indian will be good for vintage runs, and be a good match for the Rudge...

Re: Hi All
Looks like the Storm will have to go. Main issue is that its just too high ,getting on or off is a painfull drama that's only going to get worse. So whats a tangerine 98 worth?. Its done 12k and very clean with max torque cans , Tyres ,chain, brakes all look good as new . Nothing needs doing except t...

Re: Carb spares.
forgot to mention there is also a box of 4 ngk CR9EIX iridium plugs , think these would fit a VRF but not sure about a VTR although they look about the correct heat range?.

Re: Carb spares.
Thanks guys, I guessed as much. I have acquired all sorts of stuff from cleared garages. Yesterday a free New Clarke 6" bench grinder!, Which will allow me to fit some polishing wheels to my old one. Also a free 1/4" drive socket set, good for vtr small spaces?.
