The issue is clearly known.. The OEM or pattern after market Regulator / Rectifier which is diode based will fail...today, tomorrow, next year. Likely taking out at least the battery if not wiring harness and gauge. Is there a known cure for the gauge or does it just have to replaced with a working...

-Complete front fork rebuild, new seals and bushings, 7.5w oil, rebuilt according to the service manual
-new air filter
-new oil filter + oil
-new handlebar grips
-new brake and clutch fluids
-investigated why my tachometer does not work
