£130 is a good price if they are in A1 condition and don't need repacking. Jetting should be ok but will need the pilot air jet adjusting to get a good tickover and get rid of most of the popping on the over-run and when cruising.

what warranty, that'll be a bit on the cct's not ya engine. Also Honda are selling modified cct's, i think not mate. I don't really think there is a rule, as it wears it will stretch and as it is a fixed length to start with so that the cam tiiming is correct. Once it starts to stretch then when the caming timing is checked it is really easy to see as the timing marks on the cam wheels (FI-FE for the front cylinde...

do you have a bank sensor, some usa bikes have these. Cuts the engine out if the bike is on it's side? (it may have moved in the crash) or start at the starter relay with a tester and work from there.

Bluesman, be really careful with this as there is next to zero normal force in an inline four against the cct due to the small cam lobes and small springs where as the VTR has more valve lift and an enormous amount of spring pressure on the valves which loads up the cct. Check out the size/thickness...
