That's not completely right as the tensioner will only return if the engine has settled with both valves fully closed (ie at TDC on the compression stroke and they will both (each cylinder) be different). if the valve (either) is open then the pressure will feedback on the chain and stop the cct exp...

I have an engine partly stripped (when i bought it it had only done a few k, I was told) with the mounting lugs broke off it. Also have a donar set of main cases with lugs intact. A pair of second hand moriwaki pistons (need a set of gudgion pins, have standard set but they need lathing shorter), al...
check the HT lead connections at the coils and the caps, check that the lead has not burnt back inside and that it is on tight. If it's loose then cut 8mm off it, spread the cores and screw the cap back on. Also check the top of the ht caps where the bends are as it should be solid inside and if it'...

kin nightmare mate, the bolt should just slide out once the nut is off. the allen head end is inside a 20mm threaded adaptor that is threaded in the frame, if you try and turn it and that part is seixed then the outlugs (where the flat side of the allen head portion sit) will break off. The long bol...

I'm sorry but you obviously are really not that sure of what you are doing and I would find somebody who does know. Lets face it you are messing with the one thing that's going to save your life (like stoping quickly from 145mph) and if you wombles it up then don't even think about what could happen...

did you check the cap like i said, check it, you kick yourself up the butt if turns out to be that later. If it has gone then you will still get a spark if you crank it over - worth a look. The obvious one is the diaphram in the front carb has split so there is no vacuum to lift the slide. or the ne...

check the ht cap, they are supposed to be solid inside and the fronts are prone to breaking inside just on the bend (try a gentle wiggle - the cap not you - side to side and you will hear/feel it. hold the cap where it is joined to the cable and just below the bend of the cap).. if this is ok then c...

it's a road bike style, water cooled, twin front disc brake and does over 55mph, still running it in but it's way fast. now full of titanium, renthals, little tweek here and there. Cost £400 which is a bargain, was £500 but did some haggling. http://www.quads4kids.co.uk
