definately balance the carbs too mate, once they have been pulled out and push back on the inlet rubbers they will also be well out.

you may have turned the idle up too much and she is now flooding, takes ages for the tickover to raise if the bike is static. one way to check is to back the tickover off and use the throttle, then you can shut it right off and build it up. or you ***ked it but hope not.

oh yeah and do an oil change soon as all the moly and oil mix you used when putting it together will turn the oil black

should be fine if the build is ok, oil it up (it will need topping up after the first start - let it run for a minute then check it), fill the coolant up and leave the cap off, clamp the pipe to the expansion tank for now ( if not you will be filling it when you top up the rad). check the coolant le...

Oh yeah, can also ride alot better now (mind you my boys can probably ride better than me so it aint hard) and can back the 950 into any corner upto about 70mph, can also wheelie through the gears now which aint good for the licence either. it will be wear inside the mounting bracket (the front mounting hole) where the steel pin fitted to the caliper slides in and out. This then enables the caliper to rotate slightly when the brake is applied. The rear may also be worn too. It's quite normal but you should really clean both out properl...

get someone with a gps system or a phone or pocket pc with sat nav and tape it to the bike or in a tank bag and then read the speed from the system as it will be way more accurate than a normal speedo. I have both if your down this way (southish) anytime after this month.

no mate, you would probably loose the left side bolt down in the engine. You will have to remove the cam to move it on the chain unless you can recreate the pressure of the valves.

oh yeah, in this case I would leave it in neutral, pull out both cct's like now and then strip it down and set the valve timing up from scratch, a fair bit of work.
