Thx for the reply, I'll have a look at it. WHat's wrong with just buying a new one, which is suited for the VTR? Because they are still old style diode based and they fail as often as they can just to aggravate riders and remind them that a new part is not always a better part, when new is just old...

Thx for the reply, I'll have a look at it. WHat's wrong with just buying a new one, which is suited for the VTR? Later model Storms were fitted with an 'improved' finned version reg/rec. Reg /rec's produce heat as a by product of what they do, over time this can cause a melt down of the unit, burnt...

I'm planning on upgrading the regulator before i blows up. What is your best advise to buy, when also it should be easy to fit and install?

I actually thought the same thing, so I'm gonna do it my self. Just ordered a set of Kriegers from Rob (Exhautist), and figured I'll do it myself. My only concern i hos to get the right tension on the chain, but I'll try to hit the 5-7 mm which is advised. The thing is, I almost don't dare to start ...

After reading a lot about the CCT I'm so nerveous that I almost don't dare to start the engine anymore, cause I don't know when the CCT has been change...
