Well looks like i'll asking for brake discs for christmas, popped the front wheel out tonight and as soon as i got it on the bench i could see the problem, the disc is 'dished', popping a level across the face of the disc showed it up straight away, not bad for 30,000 miles i guess. Front brake disc's fowling forks?
Just had the bike MOT'd this morning, passed all ok but got a advisary note on the front right hand ( as you stand infront looking at the bike ) brake disc fowling the fork slightly. Had a quick look at it with the guy at the garage and the spacers appear to be on the correct sides and nothing looks...

I use a BT010 on the front and a 020 on the rear, the 010 is a little softer so warms up better for front grip and the rear is sticky enough but lasts well.
Alot is down to personal choice i think, but i find the above works well and have been using the same combo for a few years now.

Having seen the various posts on this i thought i'd check the output from mine, i put a multi meter accross the battery terminals as previously described in the posts and without the engine running i had just over 13volts, not too bad i thought!, ran the engine and repeated the test, 18.5volts!, obv...

seat hump clearance
hi mate,
I thought the clearance was a bit pants too, i,ve but a washer under the two fixings points for the tail section at the top just infront of the electronic control units, this raises the tail section a bit and closes the gap between the hump and the tail section.
