I don't know how many here are on the Firestorm group on FB, but the post by the Nigerian owner had me in stitches, people asking if he was a Prince, what his bank details were or if he sent someone 3 engines, he would receive a million      The most annoying thing......... ...

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues
Problem not sorted... Right at the end of the day I was chatting to a couple of guys, one who had a Storm. They are convinced that my Aero fuel cap is the problem as it’s not allowing the tank breather to vent. I said I’d ruled that out being an issue as I thought that it would be all the time once ...

Re: Mopedathon
It’s honestly the funniest thing I’ve ever done on 2 wheels.
The event is on an active RAF base so the red tape getting on is strict (don’t meet the arrival time, you won’t get in type of stuff) but once you’re on, it’s very relaxed and a great laugh.

Anyone fancy taking part in a charity event? 6hr moped event, teams of 4, £100 per team. Event held at RAF Odiham. Ride can be UP TO 50cc 2 stroke or 90cc 4 stroke. Bike MUST have been road legal at some time - so no pit bikes or race bikes. Bike must have a kill switch/key that works, all bikes wil...

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues
Fitted a new set of points to the fuel pump (though the old ones didn’t look knackered).
Took tap apart, it all looked good, I have taken the return spring out so that the it’s easier for the vacuum to hold the tap open. I’m gonna see how this works out on track this weekend......

Fork Caps
Has anyone got a pair of knackered forks with serviceable caps?
My damper adjusters look like they’ve been adjusted by chisel at some point in their life (I had to apologise to Roger when I sent the forks to him!)
Thanks

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues
Ah so the breather that allows the air to move from the diaphragm!
Got it, all makes sense. Let’s hope this cures it.

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues
I’ve ordered a new set of points for the pump. So will fit them as a matter of course. I’ll take your advice and pull the tap apart.
What do you mean by sealing breather stub? (will probably be obvious when I’m there)
Tony, did you fit a manual Tap/petcock?

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues
Thanks Nick, I’ll check the pump. TBH, I don’t think WOT is the issue as I’m hitting the same sort of speeds every time, the only difference is how gently or hard I brake.

Re: Ongoing Fueling issues
A good one & a half days at Cadwell (weather washed out Wednesday afternoon) Still issues with fuel, it has to be starvation as it only happens after the longest straight. It is also worse with less fuel in the tank than full. (When it plays up, the exhausts pop and bang like it’s about to run o...
