Re: Where have the oldies gone - you know who you are

I'm still alive... Weirdly, I bumped into SilverZipper in a motorway services and it got me nostalgic. Still have the FireStorm, though sadly I haven't ridden it in a year. Since I was last here, I've gotten a new job, new house, new girl, new baby and a new dog, so a lot has happened. Babies really...

Re: Anyone got a spare £250k lying around?

Build a nice steel double cradle frame. Bit of engine tuning. Paint it red. I can sell it for 250,000 quid? I'm off out to the garga...

Re: Please help. Tyres

Best? The one that matches whatever's on the front. Profiles and compounds will vary between brands and models though some mixing is possible. Some folks are happy to mix tyres, but that's your choice and your risk. I'm really rating Michellin Pilot Road 2 - excellent mileage and grip. Bridgestone B...

Re: How do to all you Stormers..

Hi Welcome! Ticking over a bit high isn't neccessarily a worry. The official tickover is 1200 rpm, but I (and others) run mine at more like 1400. Sometimes she'll cough on one of her huge cylinders and will cut out when idling when set at the lower idle. Might well be that it needs a carb balance to...

Re: How many times have you been stopped by a bike cop?

Never stopped, but an unmarked Blade followed me on my way to Devil's Bridge and pulled up next to me at the petrol station and advised I keep it down a bit. Pretty cool really as he could have had me in front of a magistrate if he wanted. Perfect conditions, very quiet traffic, good road with no da...

Re: For all you engineers out there... distance/speed perfec

y'all know that in the dip of the ramp you can't see, he stops, the airborne bit is digital and the second actor gets out of the pool where he already was right? Very well done though. Reminds me of the Sheep in LED vests one, that was class too. *edit* worth another watch: http://www.youtube.com/wa...

If your exhausts don't make people involuntarily poo themselves from 50 yards, they're not loud enough.
