Re: Miss Your Storm - Would you? Do You? Why?

A week ago today I gave my 1998 Firestorm to my son in law. :?

I've just gone a whole 7 days NOT being the owner of a Firestorm.

I've just been out & bought myself a really nice 16,000 mile 2003 F2 Firestorm.

I'm a happy old fart again. :biggrin

Re: My first racing experience

I doubt I'll be getting any lap records but the magic sub-60 second lap is a target. I've neer thought of the 'Storm as a big bike but it certainly felt it trying to chuck it around. The search for a quicker lap time can be really counter productive, I've still never ridden a 'Stom on track yet but...

Re: Grab rail/rack and gear shifter

Hi all.. Yep, I'm after a grab rail or small renntec style rack that could double up as grab rail, I would also need the brackets to mount it. Happy to pay a fair price considering they are £65-£95 new. I've got one I took off my bike, it looks brand new if a little lightweight. PM me an email addr...

Re: It's that time again.....

The only thing that doesn't work quite right in my eyes although easily remedied.. the brake pipe... I have braided lines on the storm, the brake pipe attaches at the front of the rear caliper and drops straight down towards the swing arm but by swinging the caliper backwards to clear the brace the...

Re: It's that time again.....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/shauned/DSC_1623.jpg It seems you've gone with the same rear calliper solution as I chose in using the blade bracket & transferred the locating slot as well as the brace. Definitely the better option in my eye's, looks great. Mine is only waiting to be dro...

Re: Front Wheel Bearings

I've got something like this from the days when I worked 'on the tools', makes motorbike wheel bearing removal so much easier.

Does anyone know if there has ever been a conversion to a conventionally positioned rad, or if there's even room?

Re: Chain Adjustment

When you say the adjusters are spot on.... You can't trust the markings on the adjusters as they aren't always accurate. Suggest you check with a straight edge, assuming you haven't got a laser to check alignment. Just press it against the rear tyre and check that the gap to the front tyre is even ...

Re: Lions tour selection: My Ar$e

For those of you interested in the upcoming Lions tour, what a load of bolloxs. 2 Scots only, we beat the Irish and the Welsh convincingly yet they have 10+ each. (and if you think it's just me, go onto the BBC Sport website and look at those comments.... LOL) Enough moaning, the games will be good...

Re: Tyre warmers

If your buying new try to find a get on HWW warmers, they're outstanding. When one of my 6 year old HWW's went off they repaired it for next to nothing and cleaned it so it came back looking half the age of the front one.

The best I ever used bar none.
