There is a flow sensor (which tells the boiler to fire up) and a thermocouple to tell the boiler what temperature is being achieved. If it was backwards, the boiler would only see cold water at the thermocoupl...

Re: At last, LOUD horn fitted

I rescued a set of twin horns off a late model Honda Civic, bit of bracketry magic and they fitted in place of the original horn.... Work wonders for ten quid

Proper noisy cans
 So, first ride today after finally getting around to fitting the £60 quid, ebay bargain ART cans. Fired the bike up with my kit on, earplugs in. Can't say I noticed a lot of difference. Oh well, they did have road legal markings on them after all. First stop a while later, checked ...

Re: Carb rebuild woes... Won't rev past 3k
Honestly thought they were OK when I built the carbs, they were both doing the same thing and seemed to be closing fairly quickly, but not exactly slamming.

Re: Carb rebuild woes... Won't rev past 3k
Just an update on this, should anybody ever reference it in the future..... I'd not got the diaphragms seated very well for the slides so they weren't opening. Once I'd remembered the correct way to install them (with that goddam spring....) they were fine. Originally I'd installed them by inserting...
