haff... struggling with the R/R and the 30A fuse. The bike has turned into a project again after troubles with R/R. Bought a VFR 1200 F two years ago so the Storm has just stood there. Poor thing <3 I guess E.Marquez has the solution for me?

Re: Bike not starting
Thanx! The bike has stood still for two years, and been driven without front fender, so in wet conditions it's been a hell

Re: Bike not starting
Hmmm.... Bought a new battery, and everything was just fine. Used it for some weeks now, but yesterday the bike wouldn't start after I stopped. Looks like it's not charging and just emptys the battery. Any ideas?

Re: My VTR
The day has come! After spending 6 hours in the garage yesterday, the bike is now ready. Nissing chain guard and front mudguard, but I have to have something to do this winter along with the paint job  http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/Dutte/Mobile%20Uploads/AF85C56D-6B22-42D7-BA2B-7CE72E...

Re: My VTR
Can anyone tell me what happened to this cylinder head? Looks like its cut and welded. As you can see from the other pics, its slightly modified :P http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/Dutte/Mobile%20Uploads/66D53061-9000-4EE3-A13D-3C2E7394111A.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/Dutte/Mobile...
Re: VTR dying
Hmmm... I found one of the plastic nuts for the choke cable attached to the carb is nissing the threads and was fixed with tape and steel thread. I have ordered new ones, after a quick search on the forum. But If it sucks air through here, what happens? Guess it can't be 100% tight with that rednec...

Have you used new copper crush gaskets on the mainifolds and replaced the graphite seals between the header and link pipes? http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/pieces-honda-detail-4938-13MBBV41-VTR1000FV-1997-F__1800-VTR+1000+FIRE+STORM.html Recommend Mikalor W4 fully stainless steel clamps to hold it ...
Re: VTR dying
Okey, I've sandblasted the whole exhaust so maybe I should try with som sealant in the connections then...VTR Phoenix wrote:If its popping and banging on deceleration then check all exhaust joins. There will be an air leak somewhere, you might also here ticking when on idle which could also suggest this.
Re: VTR dying
A cheating poof is a common trait   By poof I'm guessing your getting a carb fart right. A bit of blow back through the carb back up into the airbox. Exhaust blows will be down to not sealing correctly. Haha  My English is not that good, sorry, but it backfires in the exhaust, espesi...
Re: VTR dying
Now the cheating is gone, but what's up with the poof and blow in exhaust?
