Chainguard

Hello all you folks with great taste in motorbikes. Does anyone have a brand new second hand chainguard they would like to part with?
I had a fancy alloy one on mine and its busted on the front mount, must be the vibes!

Re: VTR cam chain tensioners

If all you are hearing is a light rattle, you haven’t caused any damage, so fitting the manual ccts now will not be a problem. You have to take the cam covers off to fit the ccts anyway, so you will be able to confirm the cam timing hasn’t slipped. II hope you know this already from earlier in this...

Re: VTR cam chain tensioners

Sorry to jump in with my problem. My VTR has just turned 49,000 miles today and when I got home I can definitely hear cam chain rattle on the rear. I have auto CCTs in. My question is, can I just pop some new tensioners in and all will be good? Or is it past that now? I don't really fancy starting i...

Re: Negative earth lead to starter motor

Where are you? There's almost always someone nearby who can help you sort it. Bent valves aren't terminal. I hear ya but there's a wobble on the piston when it just goes over the tight spot so it may be more than just a bent valve? In the end, it's how much would it cost to repair (valves, maybe pi...

Re: S REG VTR Parts

That sounds a bit drastic as it looks like a tidy bike. Can you not find someone local to give you a hand to repair it rather than break-it for spares :?: If you break-it you will need to remove all the parts, package them up and post off. That in itself is a lot of work, unless of course you sell ...

SOLD S REG VTR Parts Or Whole Bike For Sale

Anyone after some VTR parts - THe front pot has a possible bent valve (suspect CCT failure) & I can't be on with taking it any further. Open to offers on all parts - I reckon I'm having the bottom fairing and maybe the starter motor as it's newish. May be able to help with delivery depending on ...
