Re: VTRNZ
Nice conversion. Hopefully mine will keep the temps similar to stock!

Underseat part 2
Nice work that. Is the fan sucking or blowing in that position and what are your plans for the hose routing? IIRC someone else who did this had problems with getting the coolant to flow uphill. The fan will probably be blowing, but I'll do a bit of investigation as to which side will be the lowest ...

Underseat part 1
There was no way that the ugly radiators were ever going back on the side of the bike, so a new location for another radiator needed to be found, and I know I'm not the first to spot the under-seat area as a likely location. There will not be a pillion seat going back on, so I looked around for a su...

Re: VTRNZ
You're certainly getting on with the build  Chris. Yeah, my car build is 'on hold' at the moment as it's waiting to go to a car show and I don't want to do too much to it before then. Oh, and I get itchy fingers! Onwards and upwards, this is the look! https://i.postimg.cc/cvvKgLVD/IMG-5135.jp...

Re: VTRNZ
Standard rear subframe. Pretty ugly with lots of stuff I don't need. https://i.postimg.cc/F7KbsSts/IMG-5130.jpg After a quick carve up and a bit of Tiggery. Small brackets on the front lower member are the front mounts for the Fireblade tailpiece. https://i.postimg.cc/GH10Wb6Q/IMG-5131.jpg Big brack...

Side by side before & after: https://i.postimg.cc/wtb9ym6F/IMG-5099.jpg And I had a rethink on the screen, mainly because this absolutely perfect Yamaha BT07 screen came my way cheap. Well $45NZ cheap (that's around 20 quid!) https://i.postimg.cc/kDS7GGLF/IMG-5100.jpg Now THAT is the look I want...

Part 2: The only good bit about the cans that came on the bike was this: https://i.postimg.cc/HcjHzRSL/IMG-5094.jpg So I thought I'd try and use them, by ramming them up the hole of the Kawasaki cans (!) And here's the finished article: https://i.postimg.cc/xXdsXQqq/IMG-5095.jpg https://i.postimg.cc...

Re: VTRNZ
Remember those Kawasaki exhausts? https://i.postimg.cc/8s5YtvcD/IMG-5085.jpg Time to cut them up and see what's inside! With the end cap off, and the outer tube cut down it reveals a giant baffle: https://i.postimg.cc/zVwThtNf/IMG-5086.jpg And baffle tubes for Britain (though this is in New Zealand....

Bars on: https://i.postimg.cc/0bxtvWXk/263225d186109da2c2.jpg All the controls fit OK. I've re-routed the throttle cables around the back of the forks and they work/clear even on full LH lock. Clutch and brake hoses will need making longer, but as I work for a HEL agent I don't think that's a proble...

Re: VTRNZ
lets be having a look at the rear Will do. I think I've talked myself into the 'blade seat & hump, but for now here's the ubiquitous streetfighter Renthals & clamps. I'll machine up some spacer blocks to make them look cool! https://i.postimg.cc/cvWWnNGS/IMG-5033.jpg A whole $85NZ delivered...

Re: VTRNZ
Couple of tryout bits. Not 100% sure though. First off, double-bubble screen left over from my old Fireblade parts bin. Needs to be at a steeper angle but you get the picture. https://i.postimg.cc/6T1jqQrJ/IMG-5002.jpg Also from the 'blade. Rear seat fairing and single seat hump. Fits remarkably wel...

Re: VTRNZ
First thing on the agenda is exhaust cans. The ones on (and mostly off) the bike were some kind of aftermarket things that rotted away so need replacing. Being as everything I do is (by necessity) on a really short budget I bought these for a whole $50NZ (about 25 quid): https://i.postimg.cc/hXzss06...

VTRNZ
Just bought my second VTR. This one is more of a project though as it's a bit rough. https://i.postimg.cc/v18q7qdM/1060411724.jpg The cans are fubar'd so will need replacing or remaking, the bodywork isn't too hot so a change of colour will probably happen whilst it's being done. It will get braided...
