Re: Second bike opinion

Update: After a small test ride I opted for the Street Triple (went for the black because they offered £700 of free accessories...oh, and it matched my helmet, so effectively saved for a further £400, lol). Now put 700 miles on it and OMG it's just amazing. The shifter/blipper is so useful, engine i...

Re: Second bike opinion

Thanks guys Did consider BMW but overall I think the 765 triple is leading. Scarily having looked at reviews I'm even considering a new one which seems to have an improved torque engine. I'm only 5ft8 and 10st so would fit me well (although I LOVE the speed triple single swing arm and I will miss th...

Second bike opinion

OK, doing my own head in with options, any real-life opinions would be appreciated. Fortunate enough to have sold my house so want to spend up to £10k on a second bike. IN LOVE with my Storm, keeping her, but fancy something sporty I should ride before I die :D Could considering running 1 for a year...

Re: Day Running Lights - Who uses them?

Always light on
I replaced my pilot light with a video camera (yet to use!)
Added 2 small LED in the triangle sections, ok not the brightest but stands out and that's all I want.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Finally got around to it.... - Rebuilt clutch m/c (boy it needed it!) - Fitted CBR600F4 brake m/c and rebuilt - Fitted CBR600F4 reconditioned calipers+ EBC HH pads (ground purely off stanchion leaving calipers untouched, sadly marked it with some white primer), miss gold finish but silver blends in ...

Re: Asgard garage (big green shed)

Freeridenick - I bought mine from https://www.thesolarcentre.co.uk/products/Geo_3_Mains_Free_Solar_Lighting_Kit-556-85.html Also bought their voltage regulator to reduce loss and over-charging in summer. Bought a deep cycle 12V battery separately as got a better price. This gives 2 LED bulbs that li...

Front mounted video

So one of my first posts (years ago) was about fitting a go-pro to my helmet. It worked well, footage was excellent, but it added weight and looked quite bulky. Fitting it with clamps to wing mirror or fairing led to too much vibration in the footage. I heard of mobius sports cameras from looking at...

Asgard garage (big green shed)

So moved in with my partner and that wouldn't be complete without the Storm being there too. Unused section of garden removed (painfully - should have hired the pneumatic drill from day 1), supporting walls fitted, patio laid, and then the large Asgard shed fitted (took 2 of us 4 hours). More expens...

Hydro-dipping

So I've a 98 Storm making her a nubile 20 years old...and the original wheels, although looked after, were starting to show signs of winter's salt pitting. So looked at getting them powder coated but then a friend suggested hydro-dipping. That could give unique looks/effects which would cost soooo m...

Bilt-Hamber Surfex HD

Got a lovely 98 Storm that's been really well looked after BUT once you get behind covers and look in the detail you know how much accumulated cr@p there can be...and I wanted to give the gal some TLC. Read some good reviews on here and then in the wider internet and so bought some Surfex. bought a ...

WARNING: Contains a Yellow Storm

So really late posting these as done over the winter period...I'll create several separate posts with photos as that's the best way to help future searches, but pic of bike will be below (sorry, no wheelie bins): *Bought some Bilt-Hamber Surfex HD and used it to clean all the hidden parts...OMG it's...
