Re: Old man eyes
Contact lenses with reading glasses hung around your neck. Much better than varifocals. You can also get varifocal contact lenses but they never worked for me. WRT reading glasses, buy a few cheap ones so it's not a great loss when you sit on them.

There are some fine roads on the East side of the scottish borders and northern England. Once I decide on the best date I'll be asking for interest.

Great write-up Al and thanks for the pics even though some of us look like we have one foot in the grave. For me it was the first proper ride since February. I'd softened the Ape up as much as possible (compression damping and preload) but it was still scarily competent. Only doing half days on the ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I've seen my man trying to get the axle nut off his father's KTM without doing anything with the lock washer. Hammers were involved.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
SuperCorsa SP, V4. Apparently they grip like the old ones but last longer- we'll see. This includes fitting and balance, ride-in, ride-out, whereas I normally take loose wheels. So that includes £70 for fitting to the bike. No-one else on the IoM had any in stock, and I get home Thurs evening, leav...

Re: Bike of the year you've ridden
I forgot to add mine, this year I've ridden: Energica Eva Ribelle Special mention to the electric bikes, especially the Energica for its nearly shoulder dislocating roll on performance! I did an "Instruction only" track day yesterday on my 390 Duke. It was interesting. On a dinky track (C...

Hi Gabi, we sent you the money. Then said you could roll it over to the next one. No need to send it back to us. 2021 didn't happen and we couldn't make 2022.gabi81 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 4:41 pmI'm a bit confused here...KermitLeFrog wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 4:23 pm Me and WellGroomed please Gabi. Re: A bit of advice from you with SP1s
SBS RS pads have been the best I've ever used. I've never liked EBC. I'm on a set of OEM Brembos at the moment as they were a warranty replacement from my dealer and they are just as good except for the last little bit if you use them for coming to a complete stop. They can be a little grabby. So I ...

You can tell we had been drinking   That always helps! Anyway, well said Alastair. It's fantastic how this thing has evolved over the last 20 years. Take a look at when Pete made his first post. Mine was 8 ish years ago so I'm a new-comer but having, at the time a Firestorm, was probably ...

Re: 2022 Irish meeting 22nd July
Me and Budd had a rather nice ride back that day. We missed the rain and the dry roads perked up Budd and helped me forget my shoddy steering. Back home with the front wheel in the air there was a horrid notch straight ahead on the steering stem so with load on the wheel it would have been even wors...
