Most definetly a wrong air/fuel mixture issue. I'd bet if you were extremely careful/gentle on the gas you'd be able to go higher on the revs, but it would go unclean as hell and probably ain't good for the engine if overdone. Would need a guide tho on which are the vacuum hoses :) Besides the obvious gas blasts (which sounds absolutely amazing when gearing down and letting go of the throttle) I have a few theorie...
