Re: vtr1000 jap import

i"m in hastings, its at 200kph this is achievable in about 4th and gets there with very little struggle, i would like a bit of track use and this could become a pain. Also the bike feels choked, just thought the bike may be restricted somewhere, has zero titanium pipes which may mean the airbo...

Re: Airbox modding

If you're careful the standard catch tank can be re-sited inside the hollow of the frame casting, along the LH side of the rear head. You can't see it then, and a little breather canister fits neatly on top and sits under the tank cutout. Like this: http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt250/VTaRse/2...

Re: Exhaust, tell me why....

Thanks Hawk. Im coming to the conclusion Im expecting a bit much of the set up. I do track work as well and want a very strong top end. And a strong low end for commuting. All on a stock motor. So im thinking about running 2 sets of carbs. Thats a story for another day. To me the stock pipe is very ...

Re: suggest me an enduro

KDX200 2 smokes go forever. Hundreds of hours between rebuilds. And top ends are about $150 here.

But in the mean time watch this U tube channel on all the how tos for enduro.

Thank me later.

Re: suggest me an enduro

For cheap fun you cant beat a KDX200. Im 100kg and it pulls me through woods riding just fine. With a pipe and good jetting its a good match to mates on new 250 4 strokes.

Re: Is there anything from a Dynojet kit worth having?

Is the bike a standard engine. If so and your happy with Hawks carb set up I would seriously consider leaving as is. A dynojet kit wont give you anything apart from needle height that can be adjusted both ways. Install a dynojet kit and be prepared to fiddle around and tweak your carbs again. You w...

Maybe but given the risk of the paint not matching the rest of your bike, I'd suggest get your original plastic welded.
Probably be repainting the lot in one go anyway. I dont know much about plastic welding and if it is a permanent fix.
