Re: vtr/firestorm facebook pages

There are some obvious "clicks' on here. And it is quite UK biased. I hang around a few of the FB sites but not to much. There does seem to be an amount of "in the know" chatter but as many of you UK riders ride together that is to be expected. The search engine is not brilliant so wh...

Thats why I was thinking of a rubber liner. How much bigger did it make it? Would like to fit a couple of small drink bottles and maybe a small jacket.

Under seat?

Has anybody cut out or modded the black tray under the seat? Looks to be a stack of room under it that could be used for storage. Well on mine as it has an aftermarket undertray. What im thinking is to just cut it out after the little rise after the battery and line the top of the undertray. Maybe w...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Haha cheers. The only things I'm worried about are my rearsets and getting in people's way! My RC8 dreams are on the back burner as they need costly servicing every 5 mins  For track all you need is the suspension set close and good tyres. Dont worry about getting knees down etc. Just ri...

Long rides on a Superhawk

Am thinking an Airhawk seat under a sheepskin I have but that may move around a bit much. And thinking lowering my pegs for this ride and traini...

Legit idea though. Problem is most of our bikes are raised. Good way to get rid of some weight as well.

Re: Airbox modding

I ran a gutted air box for a year with external filters and found even with them covered up like tony says they get blocked so as long as you clean them there fine . Just treat them as a serviceable item and all is good Filters for the carb diaphragm you mean? At this stage they will remain stock a...

Re: Airbox modding

Yep, it works perfectly well, with one suggestion- use clear hose. You will be able to see any emulsion that builds up if you ride in wet weather. To combat this, I cut a clear lid from an aerosol can to fit over the filter and keep it from road spray. Ideally you fit a catch tank tee piece at the ...
