Re: This winters project.

I've just caught up with this. Great job Fabio. Looks like it's been repainted too so some serious cleaning you've done there.

Tidy Czech lower yolks in place. Great job by Stepan. On reflection they looked better as plain metal but they're not really seen. At some point I'll get SS bolts to replace the black ones. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240422/af2bc9352ef0f1550106ea21e4ce3b11.jpg Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapa...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Balanced the carbs and set the TPS. I also pulled the fairing off ready to take out the front end tomorrow. A little bit of Czech bling is going in.

Re: From 107 to 128

Woohoo. It's running again. I had the carbs ultrasonically cleaned, just to be sure but I'm convinced the problems were a weak battery and poor fuelling. The Ultrabatt lithium batteries are modular so adding a second one in parallel gives 600CCA and 10ah for just over 1.6kg. No turning over issues n...

The roadster version is much better looking and without that horrible inboard front brake thing [emoji2961].

Re: Excited

Nice and clean after a brush up. How long before you start modifying?

Edit: Ah! About 30 minutes. I've just seen your forks request post.

Re: 1997 Rebuild gone bad

Nick, did you mean you could connect two batteries in parallel? Two in series would give 24 volts... On a little 250 cafe racer I built years ago, I used two tiny 6v batteries in series to give 12 volts. I removed the electric start so didn't require the staring amperage., and it was easier to pack...

Re: 1997 Rebuild gone bad

It's your lithium battery. At least that's my guess from experience. I rebuilt my bike last year. And the year before that. And before... Seems like I've been rebuilding it for years. Anyway, I got myself a tiny little UltraBatt battery (300CCA and 5ah) and it started perfectly late August. For vari...

I'm pretty sure I have a spare oil pressure/neutral switch connector if you need it.
