I thought that there was something on watchdog in the last month or so, where they discussed this fake clothing(not labelled as high end branded stuff) and they run a few test on it, like typical abrasion test. there are a couple of versions, it seems. The one I've ordered just plugs into the original bulb holder (unless the pictures are wrong!)

if you can find a set in orange, let me know, seems to be impossible to get!

Ouch! Does it have a warranty from the dealer? It'll either need later upgraded finned R/R and battery or better still a MOSFET R/R - check the workshop section as its a common problem so you're not the first. Make sure to check it hasn't fried anything else , clocks, black boxes in the bike's tail...
