Re: Project Varatrackerstorm or Firetrackerdero.

The fans arrived today from China. They're quite deep but we'll see what's what when I finish ripping the house apart. https://www.xrv.org.uk/attachments/p1050617-jpg.165052/ https://www.xrv.org.uk/cdn-cgi/image/format=auto,onerror=redirect,width=640,height=640,fit=scale-down/https://www.xrv.org.uk/...

Re: Project Varatrackerstorm or Firetrackerdero.

Cheers Chris  I've think I've worked it out that the rivnut/nutserts are 3/16 UNC for the end baffles on the Supertrapp exhausts & the only place on ebay is China, Australia & USA. China's the cheapest so they're on the way a tenner I think for 150'ish of different sizes. The reason...

Re: Project Varatrackerstorm or Firetrackerdero.

Two tool heaven! Yeah, two of them  the story is that a guy on ebay was selling both & I was aware of how much these things cost so I was waching them patiently. Then one got sold, offer accepted. The one with the broken 6mm tip, bah, my preferred choice. So I placed an offer for the 4mm ...

Re: Coolant leak

Hi, it looks like you might have corrosion on the aluminium spigot.

I'd remove the pipe & clean the spigot & if the pipe's long enough cut a little off & give it a go

Re: Project Varatrackerstorm or Firetrackerdero.

I've got a manual tool that came with a load of nuts. Cost about £25 from memory. I have been looking at various tools for the job, ranging from cheapo to mind blowingly expensive. A dozen 60p rivnuts and a 200 quid tool to set them in...... :lol why don't you take them to the local garage and have them set them for you. Bung them a drink and pocket the change.

Re: Second bike opinion

If I was smaller I'd opt for a SP1/2. They're Classics & when you move on hopefully minimal depreciation.

That's if you don't pay crazy monies.

Good luck
