Re: Better pics of my first storm.

It looks well made, much better the the hugger I've got on the other bike! And the more I look at it the more that part grows on me.

Re: Better pics of my first storm.

As I posted earlier, I'm almost 100% certain it's an "ART" chain guard and carbon fibre hugger, I ought to know I used to own one  They were made and sold as one item. Although the chain guard part is bolted to the hugger it would be difficult at the very least to get a standard chai...

Re: Better pics of my first storm.

It also looks like the chain guard is built into the hugger so I don't think I'd be able to use an original chain guard. So unless I get a new hugger that will be staying for a while. It's only really the exhaust hangers that I don't like. Everything I can live with and will probably even grow on me...

Re: Better pics of my first storm.

Agreed that everyone has their own tastes and I do like a little bit on shiny stuff on somethings, but the stuff on my bike is a bit ott. It's got a bling chain guard on as well hasn't it...? Trying to hide the monstrosity are you ? Is that laser cut Firestorm logo as well...? 3x yes ? Scrap that as...

Re: Better pics of my first storm.

Very nice! Looks like a nice example. Did the previous owner keep forgetting what bike it was though? It's black Matt, the owners are a little, how should I put this, "Special"! LOL. Thing is, mine is black (took me a while to get used to the extra torque) and I seem to get by with...

Re: 2 x virgin bikers .

Sounds like good thinking to me! Break them in slowly and let them get a feel for the bikes. Especially if they've not ridden since passing their test on what I'm guessing would be a let less powerful bikes.

Good work, here's hoping the have many more safe miles ahead of them!

Very true, money and time permitting! Maybe I'll just have to live with it for now seeing as the sun seems to have made an appearance then change bits over the winter.

Re: Better pics of my first storm.

nice clean ones you have there and some tat too   And which bits of tat are you referring too good sir? There is a few bits I'm not so keen on, but they are things that can be easily changed at some point. And seeing as the bike as a whole looked well looked after, and it was a de...

Re: Better pics of my first storm.

mik from Canada is selling a pair of carbon hangers that would suit your bike... its in the sales section, not sure you can access it as a newbie... :( I did see them, but I do occasionally take a pillion so would need the foot pegs. I have seen the alloys that have been carbon dipped or ...

Better pics of my first storm.

Hello again everyone. I thought seeing as I've still got no tax until Monday I'd give my new girl a quick polish up as she'd been stood for a while so was a little dusty, and take some better pictures while that big yellow thing in the sky was out! http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m84/gcanham83/Ho...

Re: new tyres :)

I've had 3 sets of Maxis sports touring tyres on my CBF and I've not been able to fault them. The only negative, I've found is the rear seems to wear pretty quickly. 2 rears to 1 front so far, but as there fairly cheap getting a few less miles out of them really doesn't bother me that much.
